  • Demographic changes

A consequence of improved living conditions over the past decades is that we live longer, and there is an increasing amount of elderly in the population. This puts pressure on the public health- and welfare systems, and in the long term this will lead to significant increases in expenses in the public sector.

  • Public health

A consequence of improved living conditions over the past decades is that we live longer, and there is an increasing amount of elderly in the population. This puts pressure on the public health- and welfare systems, and in the long term this will lead to significant increases in expenses in the public sector.

  • New technology from private companies

Private companies are investing extensively in data collection from mobile devices and will in the near future be able to provide private health care services for those who can afford it. This challenges the coherence in the Danish health care system and the equal right and access to the best health solutions.

  • Social inequality in health

There is a tendency that diseases and poor health occur unequally in society. Citizens who are socially in a bad position experience more frequently diseases and reduced quality of life.

  • Lack of coherent healthcare

The increasing pressure on the health- and welfare systems and increased complexity in treatments have resulted in an important challenge in creating coherent health care for the citizens. There is a need for better interaction and coherence between the various sectors and parts of the health- and welfare system.

New types of health data require new solutions

There is great potential in the growing amount of health data generated by citizens' mobile devices and new "wearable" medical devices. However, at this moment the Danish healthcare system is not geared to unlock this potential and this puts the Danish healthcare model under pressure.

In HealthD360 we will connect existing systems in a new data- and collaboration infrastructure that can collect and analyze different types of data. The infrastructure will support a secure health data management and allow patients to choose, which data they will share with the health system. In close cooperation with the citizens, we will develop a number of solutions targeted at health professionals and citizens.
